This volume is a comprehensive look at the line between Worcester and Leominster which served the town of Bromyard en route. For what appears to be a fairly standard Great Western country banch line it has a complicated history, not helped by the involvement of three separate companies in its construction. From the start of planning to the first train took a total of 36 years. After this it settled down to the usual mundane life of a cross-county branch.

This well illustrated history looks at all of the planning and intrigue behind its construction and then at its operational years until final closure in 1964.
